The Clockhouse were John Taylor (Guitar),
Bogdan Blawat (Bass), I sang (in a way) and
pressed some synth keys with one finger, and
our drummer was a Roland 'Dr. Rythym' drum
machine.
At various times both Steve Shoebridge and John Potter played bass before Boggy arrived.
Kev Young and Jon Marsh both has stints as drummers, before the arrival of the mighty Dave Berk completed the band.

First Clockhouse show

Brighton

John Potter had left Hobgoblin to go to Leeds University and formed THE ELEVENTH HOUR while there, and on a visit home introduced
me to the music of JOY DIVISION. John Taylor and I had bonded over our shared quest for new music, and Magazine, The Associates, The Pyschedelic Furs were informing us. The summer '81 New Order show at the Forum ballroom was hugely influential.
We put together the Picturesque label and recorded 'Vanishing Point' (Myself, John Taylor (guitar), Bogdan blawat (bass), Dave Berk (drums), Deirdre Crowley & Jono O'Hanlon (clapping squad) and a horn section). It was the first time we had heard ourselves on the radio so it was exciting times. Bursting out of Croydon!
When Bogdan left the band something went out of it for us though, and though a second single ('Everything under the sun') was recorded,
the band soon split.
I decided to go solo, and the 2nd single was never released.
